We have 25 rooms for 50-58 people across our gorgeous site, all beautifully furnished to a high standard. In fact, we’re one of the only wedding venues in the country that can offer so much accommodation – think of us as a country house hotel with a glorious wedding venue attached!

You want your family and friends to enjoy every moment of your wedding day, especially if they’ve had to travel a long way to be a part of it. Guests can arrive on Friday and enjoy a relaxed dinner or party the night before the wedding, getting to know all the people sharing your big day. With accommodation on site there’s no worry about sorting taxis or transport after the wedding reception, and you can all enjoy a leisurely breakfast together on the Sunday before people start to head home.

With all the facilities you’d expect from a deluxe hotel, our honeymoon cottage Lavender Lodge is the perfect place to start your married life!

Upstairs is an expansive master bedroom with a glorious freestanding bath. Downstairs you’ll find a comfortable Loaf super king sofa bed, as well as a ground floor wet room. This makes Lavender Lodge a great space for the bridal or groom party to stay the night before the wedding, or for a family group to use all weekend.

Lavender Lodge is also a lovely place to get ready on the morning of your wedding. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the freestanding bath, looking through the floor-to-ceiling window to the far-reaching countryside views. Then use the natural light, big mirrors and bespoke make-up chair to get dressed in your wedding finery, with plenty of space for members of your wedding party to get ready alongside you.

As you may have noticed, we love bees at Alfriston Gardens, so as you climb the wooden staircase inside Lavender Lodge you’ll spot an exquisite bronze bee installation, designed by renowned jeweller Alex Monroe

Diagonally opposite from Lavender Lodge is Oak Lodge. This timber-framed lodge has a traditional honeymoon suite with a beautiful ensuite bathroom, alongside two twin and two double bedrooms. It is a versatile space for your family and friends to stay in over your wedding weekend.

It also has a multifunctional area on the ground floor where breakfast is served, and guests can socialise over the weekend in between all the wedding activities.

Your wedding guests can also stay in Vine Lodge, a brand-new deluxe lodge with 10 bedrooms. Sensitively designed to blend in with Alfriston Gardens’ other historic buildings, the lodge has a range of modern comforts including underfloor heating and ensuite bathrooms. Its crowning glory is its gorgeous living roof – one of the many ways we’re trying to make Alfriston Gardens as sustainable as possible Like the rest of Alfriston Gardens’ accommodation and barns, the chic decor inside Vine Lodge was created by local interior designer Katie Elizabeth, offering a welcoming space where your guests will be able to relax in style after all the wedding fun and festivities.

For those guests who love to be close to nature and to stay in something a little quirkier, our nine shepherd’s huts are the perfect place to rest their head. Each has a double ensuite bedroom and is fully insulated and heated, so can be enjoyed year-round.

These deluxe glamping spaces are to be found in Alfriston Gardens’ glorious wildflower meadow – so in spring and summer, guests will wake up surrounded by a cloud of flowers and butterflies!

Making all your guests feel comfortable is a huge priority for us, and we’ve designed our onsite accommodation to make it as accessible as possible. There’s a downstairs wet room at Lavender Lodge, so any guests with mobility issues can use just the ground floor. Accommodation in Vine Lodge includes family rooms and accessible rooms with attached wet rooms, allowing us to cater for all of your guests’ requirements.
